From the outside, the Schutt AiR XP Pro VTD II Adult Football Helmet looks like your classic football helmet. But underneath is cushioning and impact absorption technology that makes it among the top choices in the game. Worn at every level from the pros to youth leagues, the AiR XP shell is the last remaining traditional standoff helmet, and its rounded shape is easily identifiable on the field.

Packed with VTD TPU cushioning, the helmet has been a consistent performer in the Virginia Tech Helmet Study with the original version setting a new standard for helmets in the test. The VTD II has many of the same characteristics and includes newly tweaked VTD TPU cushioning that is specifically designed to absorb high and low impact velocity hits. Also new are the more stable inter-link jaw pads that are mechanically attached to the helmet shell and allow for easy customizable sizing. The helmet still features a TPU enhanced SUREFIT air liner that give it the soft, pillow-like feel that Schutt's helmets are known for and a twist release system to make facemask attachment easy.
